The Director of Food & Beverage is a senior management role responsible for directing and leading a food service team to meet the needs of guests at the Georgia Center which includes; catering, banquets, restaurant, bar, café and conference breaks, and meal plan operations. 

The Director of Food and Beverage supports the mission of the Georgia Center and will partner with Conference & Event planning, Sales, Marketing and Communications and Hotel to generate revenue for the Center. This position will be proactive in planning, improving services, programs, and processes, able to work with computers including various supportive technological tools for food & hospitality industry, and be a strong leader with excellent managerial skills.

What you will be doing

• Managing daily operation of the food service outlets
• Managing labor efficiently
• Overseeing payroll, accounts payable, and sales data
• Hiring new employees
• Planning and coordinating training activities for all phases pertinent to food service operations
• Responsible for planning, developing, and implementing policies, procedures and operational changes in the food service area
• Reviewing, analyzing and making recommendations for food and beverage budget
• Preparing special reports; reviewing and analyzing operation reports
• Reviewing and recommending purchase of equipment
• Planning layout for improved facilities and recommending remodeling and refurbishing of existing facilities
• Developing plans for summer operations, conferences, and special food services programs
• Responsible for developing guest service programs to promote guest feedback
• Setting standards, approving menus and menu patterns
• Responsible for accuracy of food and beverage inventory
