Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Hotel General Manager to oversee the revenue growth and daily operations of our hotel. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences. As the Hotel General Manager, you will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maximizing revenue while maintaining high standards of service.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily hotel operations, ensuring all departments function smoothly and efficiently.
- Work front desk shifts
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring a high level of customer service.
- Supervise and train hotel staff, promoting teamwork and a positive work environment.
- Implement revenue management strategies to optimize occupancy rates and profitability.
- Manage hotel sales and marketing
- Maintain effective communication with guests and staff through various phone systems while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
- Collaborate with the human resources department in recruiting, training, and evaluating hotel personnel.
- Monitor financial performance and prepare reports on hotel operations for senior management.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations within the hotel premises.
- Develop promotional strategies to enhance the hotel's visibility in the market.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel management within the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate staff effectively.
- Familiarity with branded hotels - Choice or IHG, Hilton, Wyndham, Marriott etc.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations.
- Familiarity with revenue management principles and practices.
- Proficient in phone systems and demonstrating outstanding phone etiquette.
- Bilingual candidates are preferred to cater to diverse clientele.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A passion for hospitality and commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
