Job Description

With the direction of Director of Sales & Marketing, implement the day-to-day integrated marketing strategy for the hotel and 676 Restaurant including, but not limited to, media opportunities, print and digital advertising campaigns, online branding, public relations and social media messaging. This role will collaborate closely with the hotel operations team and outside partners. The ideal candidate will be strategic, creative and results oriented with the ability to coordinate the execution of strategies with multiple stakeholders.

Salary range for this position (based on experience): $27-$29/hour.

Responsibilities

  • Support tactical execution of the comprehensive marketing plan that supports the hotels’ business goals and the customer journey. (spanning Group, Leisure, BT, Catering and 676 Restaurant)
  • This position will help spearhead the creation, planning and performance of all digital media for hotel and 676 Restaurant.
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing and other department managers to create, promote and execute the programming/activations calendar for hotel and 676 Restaurant.
  • Assist in the creation and execution of the key marketing strategies to reposition 676 Restaurant branding to drive revenue.
  • Daily monitor and update information on OH.com ensuring accuracy and consistent branding. (property details, dining menus, meeting details, events, packages etc.)
  • Create and execute monthly e-mail campaigns to support marketing strategy.
  • Support marketing reporting to measure KPIs for marketing strategies, campaigns and tactics monthly. Proactively identify areas for refinement/optimization, based on business needs and results.
  • Ensure social media content calendar and monthly marketing calendars are kept up-to-date and implement day-to-day social media content across all social channels to increase audience. (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linked in)
  • Monitoring review responses. (TripAdvisor, Yelp, Expedia, Hotels, Google, Open Table etc.)
  • Manage, organize, and inventory all marketing assets including photos, videos, press packets and printed sales and marketing collateral.
  • Ensure consistency of published content across all hotel and outlet listings on various online website listings. Ensuring all hotel photography and videography assets are on-brand.
  • Ensure property communication and implementation of corporate marketing initiatives.
  • Create and execute the production of marketing materials, promotional and internal communications materials.
  • Assist in developing and managing the annual local marketing budget and strategic planning process.
  • Attend Weekly Revenue Merchandising Meetings to understand need times and propose strategies to drive revenue.
  • Coordinate and assist in the execution of the hotel’s monthly marketing meetings with key stakeholders. (Director of Operations, F&B Manager, Restaurant Manager,GM. Complex Marketing Manager)
  • Build social media influencer relationships and manage influencer program.
  • Assist in developing local partnerships to impact the hotel’s marketing and revenue objectives.
  • Assists in managing media statements on immediate PR situations with Omni Hotels marketing team.
  • Oversee and assist DOSM with monthly marketing invoices to ensure prompt and accurate payment to vendors.

Qualifications

  • Degree in public relations or marketing, or similar preferred.
  • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in hotel or hospitality. Preferred experience with marketing, digital and communications.
  • Excellent working knowledge of all primary social channels including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok and Linked In.
  • Experience managing social media content creation, graphic design, public relations, marketing planning and execution.
  • Strong understanding of the local Chicago scene and knowledge of what is locally relevant.
  • Robust creative skills with the ability to coordinate execution of strategies with multiple departments.
  • Strong understanding of social media trends and management therein, content gathering and measurement.
  • Strong understanding of HTML and digital environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, grammar and editing skills
  • Must be willing to work flexibile hours as needed including the ocassional weekend and/or holiday.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, for extended periods of time. 
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
