Lake Monticello Pool is a vibrant and welcoming community facility committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for all visitors. As a lifeguard, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and satisfaction of our guests while making great memories this summer.

Responsibilities

• Monitor activities in and around the swimming area to prevent accidents and respond to emergencies.
• Enforce all safety rules and facility policies with professionalism and courtesy.
• Perform water rescues and administer first aid/CPR when necessary.
• Conduct routine safety checks of equipment and facilities to ensure a safe environment.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and concerns.
• Assist with pool maintenance, chemical management, and cleanup, including keeping the pool deck tidy and organized.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Current lifeguard certification from the Red Cross or a recognized organization (or willingness to complete certification before start date).
• Certified in CPR/AED and First Aid.
• Strong swimming skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, during the summer season.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior lifeguard experience is a plus but not required.
• Knowledge of water safety and rescue techniques.
