The successful candidate should have a passion for baking and pastry creation and the desire to provide warm and gracious service to our guests.
The responsibilities of the pastry chef include:
Oversee the night shift duties in absence of Chef Ashley
Help with the creation of menu items for 28 Atlantic and Thoreau’s
Assist with management of pm shift team members
Ensure the pastry shop is fully cleaned and locked up to previously set standards before departing for the day
-Preparing and executing all menu items according to specifications
-Inspecting all food items to ensure proper appearance, color, and appeal
-Ensuring all food items have been cooked sufficiently
-Maintain a clean and organized workspace, washing, and disinfecting all surfaces and equipment
-Assisting stewards to ensure cleanliness and efficiency
-Maintaining the freshness of all food products by using proper storage techniques
Previous experience in a pastry kitchen is required. The ability to work well in a team environment is key to success in this role.
