OUR HOTEL
Eaton DC is our flagship property located in the heart of downtown Washington, D.C. at 12th and K Street, N.W. In addition to our 209 rooms and 15,000 square feet of meeting space, Eaton D.C. features a radio station, cinema, holistic wellness center, members workspace, art exhibits, artist residencies, chef-led restaurant, bars, coffee shop, and more.
POSITION
The Business Transient Sales Manager will be responsible for generating revenue for the Hotel within the designated markets through goals set by the Director of Sales. The scope of the goals includes being an integral participant in the initiatives set forth by the Sales Department, the Hotel and the Eaton Workshop brand. Goals include developing meaningful relationships with current accounts and developing new business opportunities with an emphasis on supporting the brand mission and vision.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
· Develop strong understanding of Eaton brand, mission and culture initiatives
· Possess expert knowledge of local and global corporate accounts (business travel)
· Maintain updated knowledge of comp set hotels, corporate and marketplace trends
· Actively participate in corporate and BT travel and tradeshow events
· Continually evaluate, implement, and optimize revenue growth opportunities within segment
· Regularly engage clients through site tours, on-property events, and entertainment
· Proactively solicit and secure corporate segment sales-related opportunities
· Actively upsell business opportunities to maximize revenue opportunity
· Handle incoming inquiries for market segment as defined by Eaton standards
· Maintain updates sales database, including account profiles, contacts and activities
· Follow-up with in-house guests to ensure on-going service to the guest
· Track and report on segment production and pace
· Maintain travel and other expenses according to budget guidelines
· Work with DOS to create dynamic sales materials, advertising and promotions to hit target customers
· Partner with cross property departments to plan, manage and coordinate requests
· Develop and maintain effective and respectful relationships with coworkers
· Attend departmental and hotel meetings as required

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERTISE:
· Any combination of education and experience equivalent to high school diploma
· Ability to speak, communicate and read effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
· Capable of working in fast paced environment and possess high level attention to detail.
· Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, are gracious, friendly and work well with others.

Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in hotel sales, with a strong focus on the corporate travel segment
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong presentation skills
Strong sales prospecting skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Salesforce Delphi
Familiarity with Eaton's mission-driven approach and desire to contribute to a culture of impact
Evolution of Hospitality
Eaton Workshop is a new global brand merging hospitality with progressive social change. Launching in early 2018, it will bring to the international market a hybrid model of a hotel and co-working members club, with an extensive content and programming agenda underscoring its core advocacy values. As the first brand of its kind to serve as a gathering place for an inclusive tribe of changemakers and creatives, Eaton Workshop consists of distinct parts – Hotel, House, Media, and Wellness – that together form an ecosystem based on a pro-social, proactive ethos.
A digital content platform addressing urgent and artistic themes will unite all locations, while each Eaton Workshop property will offer the physical resources of a hotel, modern day social working club, radio station, cinema, wellness center, restaurants and bars, retail, art gallery, event spaces, and more. Through these elements, Eaton Workshop aims to bring together activists and artists from around the world to instigate meaningful and positive impact on both a local and macro scale.
