Compensation: $69,000 to $84,000 per year, plus bonus

The Reservation Manager is the person responsible for maximizing the room revenue on a daily, monthly, and annual basis. Their action directory affects how many rooms the hotel sells and at what rate. The person in the position has to understand their hotel, the market they are in, technology, and have unique knowledge of economics. 

The person in this position has to supervise maintaining high-quality customer service by phone/or e-mail to guests by accommodating guest requests and concerns as they arise throughout the shift, answering phones, e-mailing and inputting all incoming reservations into the epitome system cooperating with the sales department and the front office department pertaining to the room reservations. 

 The Reservation manager also manages channel distributions and rate parity between the property website, Online Travel Agencies, Portal Websites, and third-party sites.  

What you will be doing

  • Responsible for Revenue Management Systems
  • Responsible for the maintenance of any software programs which contribute to the management of the room’s revenue, including Opera, Siteminder, SalesPro, Pegasas, DUETTO (room management system), MyFiderio, and new ones
  • Responsible for forecast and daily interaction with the system and the decisions produced configuration, and maintenance tasks related to the system.
  • Daily Pick-Up analysis and reporting in liaison with the Accounting Department
  • Maximizes net room revenue contribution through a thorough understanding of market segments, booking channels, and demand drivers. Actively participates in the creation of offers and evaluation of business opportunities.
  • Expertise in STR reports, competitive shops, and other market intelligence reports and can use that expertise to develop strategies to maximize revenue
  • Completes daily, weekly, and monthly reports for revenue.
  • Oversees channel management including rate loading and inventory management.
  • Monitors segment booking pace in order to determine pricing and availability controls for all reservation distribution sources and implements according to the strategy of the hotel.
  • Monitors key indicators of hotel performance and third-party intelligence sources to identify revenue opportunities
  • Responsible for completion of all rooms and revenue forecasting, budgeting, and planning to accurately project unconstrained demand and hotel performance in collaboration with the team
  • Evaluate booking channel distribution models and opportunities for the hotel.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate completion of required reporting including but not limited to 14-day forecast, 90-day forecast, strategic planning of budget and marketing plans, tracking and analysis of competitive set pricing and yield strategies in collaboration with the team
  • Ensures hotel team members understand the concept of Revenue Management and their role. Clearly communicate to the hotel team the strategic vision and objectives on how to drive revenues and improve performance.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Revenue Manager
  • Strategic thinking combined with the proven ability to move strategy to action
  • Detail-oriented with proven experience in analysis and problem-solving
  • Proven track record of team-building skills
  • Independent work style
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities under time constraints
  • Experience working with Revenue Management systems required
  • Experience working with channel management and rate shopping systems required
