Job Title: Hotel Manager (with Hotel-Condo Experience)

Reports To: Owner

Job Summary:
The Hotel Manager with Hotel-Condo experience oversees the daily operations of a mixed-use property, which may include a combination of traditional hotel guests and privately owned condo units. This role requires a blend of hospitality management, property management, and customer service skills to meet the needs of both short-term guests and long-term residents. The Hotel Manager ensures operational efficiency, financial profitability, and a high level of guest and resident satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Property Management

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of both hotel and condo units, ensuring compliance with brand standards, company policies, and local regulations.
  • Coordinate with property owners, HOA/condo board members, and hotel staff to maintain positive relationships and ensure satisfaction.
  • Ensure proper management of shared amenities (e.g., pools, gyms, parking, and concierge services) and resolve disputes or usage conflicts.

2. Guest and Resident Relations

  • Act as a liaison between condo owners, hotel guests, and staff to ensure smooth communication and service.
  • Handle guest complaints, resident issues, and conflict resolution in a timely and professional manner.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with condo owners to address their needs and ensure their units are properly maintained.

3. Operations and Staff Management

  • Supervise and support hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and concierge services.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate staff performance to ensure a high standard of service.
  • Monitor staffing levels to ensure proper coverage during peak times and special events.

4. Financial Management

  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for both the hotel and condo operations.
  • Oversee revenue management strategies to maximize room and unit rental rates.
  • Approve expenditures and ensure cost controls are in place to meet financial goals.

5. Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure the property is compliant with health, safety, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee security protocols to maintain guest, resident, and property safety.
  • Handle insurance claims, inspections, and audits in conjunction with the property management team.

6. Sales, Marketing, and Community Engagement

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote hotel services, packages, and events.
  • Support real estate agents and property owners with condo unit sales, rentals, and owner transitions.
  • Represent the property at industry events, conferences, and local community activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred but not mandatory with relevant experience).
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in hotel operations, with at least 2 years in a hotel-condo, mixed-use property, or related environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in hotel property management systems (PMS), financial software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Certifications: Certification in property management, real estate, or hospitality management is a plus.

  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • On-call availability to respond to emergency issues as they arise.
