Collegiate Hotel Group® is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join Graduate by Hilton Seattleand its brilliant team of hospitality enthusiasts.
Job Duties And Responsibilities

In the absence of the Director of Engineering, the Supervisor will assume the administrative, financial, and operating aspects of the hotel for the Engineering department

Maintains high morale for engineering shift, teaching engineering staff how to maintain and repair equipment, soliciting suggestions or input from other members of the Engineering team as well as coaching or counseling team members effectively

Champions ALICE Metrics and regularly checks “Maintenance and Housekeeping Top 20’s Report” to track defects and create processes to proactively resolve top reported issues in Guest Rooms through the Preventative Maintenance Process.

Tracks ALICE Response Time metric and creates operational efficiency/ awareness through the creation/ implementation of SOP’s (Training, weekly/ daily focus areas, reporting, etc.)

Ensures fulfillment of proactive preventative maintenance programs to brand standards including laundry equipment, heating and air conditioning units, ice machines, fire extinguishers/smoke alarms, plumbing

Reports, responds to, repairs and/or inspects and performs general maintenance in guest units, buildings, pools, and common areas

Will have a working knowledge of the use of hand tools and power tools, as well as for repairing and troubleshooting carpentry, plumbing, electric, and HVAC issues

Performs maintenance to plumbing such as pipes, drains, faucets, disposals, showers, tubs, etc.

Prevents and troubleshoots electrical issues on equipment, fixtures, outlets and switches

Assists the Director of Maintenance with maintaining a current inventory of all supplies

Assists the Director of Maintenance with maintaining a work order assignment program for completed and pending work orders.

Prioritizes and completes work orders in a timely manner. Monitors all deficiencies.

Ensures swimming pool and spa maintenance duties are performed according to brand standard and health department regulations

Maintains the hotel grounds, curb appeal and building exteriors

Assists other departments in fulfilling guest requests and resolving guest concerns

Educates hotel personnel on emergency procedures and safety precautions

Assists the Director of Maintenance with training/supervision of Maintenance Technician’s on day-to-day repairs and engineering needs on property
-
Participate in a consistent and regularly scheduled property walk through and report/ fix identified deficiencies within an appropriate time

Function as a member of the emergency organization team and become an expert on life safety

Be aware of fire, safety, and protection equipment/hazards

Understand the engineering records and filing system to support Rooms and Maintenance Budget, PM Programs, Capital Budget, Capital Projects, Life Safety Systems, and Inspections, etc.

Acts as Manager on Duty when assigned
Education And Experience

Minimum of High School education, post-high school education preferred
-
Minimum of 2 years in Maintenance position, preferably within hotels
-
Preferred but not necessary: Two (2) years of college or trade school equivalent in a mechanical, electrical, and/or technical disciplines
