Sofitel Philadelphia at Rittenhouse is seeking a visionary and analytical Director of Finance to join our dynamic Accounting team. S/He will be a key member of our executive leadership, and will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, developing strategic financial plans, and ensuring the long-term financial health of the hotel.

Key responsibilities will include:

Leading the development and implementation of the organization's financial strategy
Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and treasury management
Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization
Analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner
Manage the annual budgeting and planning process
Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior executives to identify their financial needs and seek full range of business solutions
Ensure compliance with Internal and external Audit, financial regulations and standards
Optimize the handling of banking relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position
Develop and implement financial controls and risk management procedures
Lead, mentor, and develop the Accounting team, fostering an inclusive high performing team culture of collaboration and excellence

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA, CPA or CFA certification is a plus
10+ years of progressive experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in a similar senior leadership Accounting role in a hotel
Extensive experience in strategic financial planning, budgeting, and analysis
Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial reporting standards
Proven track record in managing and developing high-performing finance teams
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems
In-depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Strong decision-making skills and ability to prioritize effectively
Visionary mindset with the ability to align financial operations with organizational goals
