HOURLY RATE OF PAY: $19.02

Sacramento Marriott Rancho Cordova is seeking a Hotel Security Guard to join our great team and enjoy all the benefits of our exciting hotel environment.

Overview:

This position is responsible for the safety and security of the hotel not limited to, but including associates, guests, company property and company assets. This position is an overnight / graveyard position. Flexible schedule needed, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Provides basic customer service and courtesies to enhance the guests’ stay.
• Smile and greet every guest (15/5 rule).
• Thank the guest for their business when appropriate.
• Practice proactive hospitality by anticipating their needs and being flexible in responding to them.
• Be knowledgeable about the hotel.
• Utilize the L.E.A.R.N. model to own & resolve complaints.
• Report defects in the hotel including shortages of equipment & supplies.
• Assists with maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Assists with guest problems and complaints.
• Warns violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles and apprehends or expels person engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.
• Assists Restaurant / Bar staff with controlling intoxicated guests.
• Performs other duties as developed, directed or assigned.
• Support overnight staff with guest check-ins

Education/Experience:

• High school graduate. Some college preferred.
• 1-2 years Security Guard experience; Hotel experience a plus
• 1-2 years customer service experience preferred; Hotel experience a plus
• PPSO Security Guard Card required
• Valid California Driver License and clean driving record required
• Trained in TIPS Alcohol Awareness required
• CPR and First Aid certifications required
• Relevant military experience in a comparable capacity
