Job Overview
The Theater Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the floor operation of a high-energy Theater Entertainment Show within a luxury hotel setting. This role demands a proactive, detail-oriented leader with a passion for guest service and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will coordinate all front-of-house activities, ensuring smooth service flow, staff readiness, and exceptional guest experience.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist the box office team in setting up the theater room, ensuring all tables are accurately arranged per the event’s specifications. Liaise with banquet staff to complete any missing setups or special arrangements.
- Verify all staff have checked in at their scheduled times and assign each to specific sections and tasks for optimal service coverage.
- Review the seating floor plan with the box office team, addressing any specific reservations or special requests received via email before the shift begins.
- Conduct pre-shift briefings with the team, emphasizing key service standards, VIP reservations, and other notable guests or events. Set clear expectations for the show.
- Prepare the theater room for showtime, ensuring all details are attended to, including setting menus, lighting candles, and preparing the space for guest arrival.
- Monitor guest arrival and seating, ensuring guests are comfortably seated according to the floor plan and any specific reservation requests are honored.
- Facilitate prompt food and drink service to ensure guests are fully served before the show begins. Expedite orders, monitor guest satisfaction, and address any service issues proactively.
- Add door charges to guest checks as applicable, coordinating with box office and front desk systems for accuracy.
- During the first show, obtain the floor plan for any subsequent events and prepare for an efficient room turnover.
- Oversee the post-show reset process, ensuring all tables, menus, and other items are correctly arranged for the next event or show.
- Support ongoing staff training to enhance service quality, reinforce standards, and encourage a seamless, positive experience for guests and performers alike.
- Maintain an organized, high-energy environment while responding quickly to any operational changes or guest needs.
Qualifications
- Experience in a supervisory role within food and beverage or event operations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate between teams and deliver an outstanding guest experience.
- Proven ability to work in a high-paced, dynamic setting, with a focus on multitasking and attention to detail.
