Front Desk Associate

This is a small, boutique property, so you’ll have the opportunity to interact very closely with the hotel manager, the F&B manager, and the executive chef. Due to the fact we’re a smaller hotel, you’ll also have the opportunity to learn a lot about the hotel business. We expect the ideal candidate to be proactive in their approach to work and to be skilled at multi-tasking in a fast paced and noisy environment, particularly in the evening. You’ll need to have the ability to carry on interesting and engaging conversations with guests of the hotel and restaurant.

Responsibilities

Some of the duties you’ll be performing at the Front Desk / Reception / Night Audit shifts are:

· Answering Telephones

· Assisting Guests with directions

· Recommending and answering questions about restaurants in the Phoenix area

· Checking guests in and out of the hotel

· Taking restaurant reservations for our own restaurant

· Serving complimentary coffee and maintaining an attractive offering of small bites for purchase to our guests

· Ability to perform night audit functions as needed

· Interacting and conversing with guests of the property

· Maintaining and accurately completing a variety of reports as required. (Microsoft Office experience is a Plus+!)

· Work closely with all departments at the property, including housekeeping, our restaurant Chilte and our bar Side hustle at the Egyptian to ensure an amazing guest experience

· Reading and responding professionally to emails, texts and phone calls from guests.

· The ability to speak in more than one language is a plus but is not required.

Experience

• Previous experience at a Front Desk or in another Hospitality role is preferred.
• Familiarity with Property Management Systems - hotel management software is a plus but not required
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively by email
• Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to cater to a diverse clientele.
• Knowledge of hospitality management principles is beneficial for career advancement within the industry.

Pay: $17.50 - $18.00 per hour
