Server - Waterfront Restaurant

Waterstone Resort & Marina, a Curio Collection by Hilton property, managed by Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a dynamic, service-oriented Restaurant Server to join our team! Our resort is on the Boca Inlet overlooking the Boca Bay.  Our outdoor restaurant, Sea Spray is a local & visitor favorite which has been reinvented with new food & cocktail menus. SHG is an organization whose success is rooted in its service culture. Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Seat and take accurate food orders from guests
• Monitor food distribution, ensuring that meals are delivered to the correct recipients and that food is properly prepared and nicely presented and/or the buffet is appealing.
• Check station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
• Must be familiar with all menu items, their preparation and service procedure.
• Total checks, present to guests and accept payment.
• Assist with bussing tables
• Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverage to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Perform various other duties as assigned

Education And Experience

• Minimum of High School education, post-high school education preferred
• Minimum of one (1) year in hotel/restaurant serving role
• Food Handler & Alcohol Awareness Certification preferred, or able to obtain

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Ability to communicate effectively verbally
• Team player
• Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to work flexible hours and shifts - nights, weekends and holidays are required
• Knowledge of alcohol serving practices and standards
• Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations and etiquette

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Must be able to lift, balance, and carry trays of food weighing up to 25 pounds.
