To manage the operation of bar/lounge by developing and implementing strategies and services which meet the needs of owners, employees and guests.FireLake Grill House and Cocktail Bar possesses a timeless atmosphere with a modern edge who is looking for an energetic and detail oriented Bar Manager.
FireLake Grill House and Cocktail Bar features regional, local and sustainable foods kissed with the flavor of real burning wood, utilizing the grill, rotisserie and smoker. Impeccable hospitality and service. 175 seat restaurant, 125 seat lounge. Our lounge features local brews, selective wine list and modern cocktail program.
Key Responsibilities
Develops and implements strategies to achieve revenue and profit goals
Participates in the development of the marketing plan for the bar/lounge by keeping current on competitors on a regular basis
Develops and implements special promotions and employee incentives
Provides employees with current up-to-date information on drink specials and menu items
Increases sales by coaching employees on effective sales techniques
Maximizes productivity by using forecasting techniques to adjust scheduling
Manages the operation of bar/lounge
Coordinates the set up of bar/lounge area in accordance with Choice Hotel standards
Manages the food and beverage service provided in assigned bar/lounge; coaches employees on effective service techniques
Inspects bar/lounge area on an on-going basis and takes appropriate steps to ensure facilities meet or exceeds the hotel’s standards at all times
Leads staff meetings
Assists in quarterly inventories
Properly executes check control procedures
Maintains sanitary and safe work environment for guests and employees
Develops and implements strategies and practices which support employee engagement
Recruits and selects qualified candidates
Provides employees with the orientation and training needed to understand expectations and perform job responsibilities
Communicates performance expectations and provides employees with on-going feedback
Provides employees with coaching and counseling as needed to achieve performance objectives and reach their fullest potential
Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Radisson Blu experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations
Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork when providing guest service
Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution and follows through when resolving guest problems
Provides Yes I Can! genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basis
Assumes the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their best judgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction
Performs other duties required to provide the service brand behavior and genuine hospitality
Requirements
Minimum two years bar/lounge management experience
High school diploma required, associate’s degree preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills
Able to collaborate effectively with other hotel employees and managers to ensure teamwork
Able to resolve conflicts guests, supervisor and employee
Knowledge of local, state and federal liquor laws and regulations
Strong floor presence with focus and energy
Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
Basic mathematical skills
Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
Physical Demands
Long hours are sometimes required, ability to work flexible schedule
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to lift 25 pounds on a regular basis and push or pull up to 75 pounds
Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment

The hotel business functions seven days a week, 24 hours a day. All associates must realize this fact and be aware that at all times it may be necessary to move associates from their accustomed shift and alter assigned duties as business dictates. In addition, this is a hospitality business, and a hospitable service atmosphere must be maintained at all times.
