Description

Island Hospitality is currently seeking a Vice President of Operations to join our management team. This person will directly report to the Executive Vice President and assist in all facets of Guest Satisfaction, Operations, Revenue Management, Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, and the overall growth of its Team Members. This position will serve as the primary contact for hotels within the region for operations, sales and marketing, hotel initiatives, and issue resolution.

Position Requirement

  • Leading departments and operations within the region of the company
  • Budgeting for multiple projects, including monitoring and controlling costs
  • Work closely with Human Resources to implement and refine company policies and procedures
  • Guiding, directing, and evaluating the work of property team members and leadership
  • Creating and implementing a strategic plan
  • Leveraging company output to improve ranking in the competitive field
  • Representing the company for external and internal events
  • Monitoring the competitive landscape and attending industry events to stay abreast of new initiatives and ways to stay ahead
  • Identifying, training, and developing leaders within the company and setting them on a path for management

Position Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years experience in the Hospitality industry
  • Must have experience working with two of the following brands: Marriott, Hilton, and Hyatt 
  • This position requires regular travel within the Domestic U.S.
  • Ability to seek out new hotel growth the business
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Strong leadership and analytical skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong computer skills are a must
  • Detail oriented
  • Proven track record of exceeding the expectations of guests and team members in previous positions
  • Ability to work independently
  • Must be a decisive, educated facilitator experienced in resolving conflicts
