Courtyard Dallas DFW Airport North/Irving is seeking an experienced Area Accounting Managerto deliver the highest quality of service to all guests, external and internal within the hotel operation. As part of the property team you will help us craft inspired workplaces that enable all Associates to deliver kick-ass guest experiences and maximize investor returns! This position will provide support at the property level, with a dotted line to the Corporate Finance Department in all aspects related to Income Audit, General Cashiering, Accounts Receivables, F&B controls and Accounts Payable invoicing. This position supports and will offer analysis directly related to reviewing and reconciling properties daily cash, credit card deposits and hotels’ daily income journals via the company’s financial systems.
Ensure daily income reports are completed daily
Balance Guest ledger, A/R and Deposit ledger accounts daily
Prepare and route daily adjustments
Process daily cash deposits
Manage the A/R function and hold monthly credit meeting
Oversee the use of Birchstreet and the department managers utilizing the A/P process
Balance POS sales and settlements
Implement F&B cost controls and SOPs
Assist with monthly inventory
Assist GM weekly with forecasting
Month end processing
Conduct quarterly self audit
Experience and Education:
Previous hotel accounting experience with heavy F&B knowledge preferred
4-year college degree(preferably in Accounting or Finance) or equivalent work experience in hotel accounting
Excellent Guest Service, Computer and Communication Skills are required via verbal, written and electronic means.

Compensation: $60,000 to $65,000 per year
