Job summary:  

Responsible for working within the Central Reservations Office (CRO), with the Hotel Properties to enhance the company’s use of branded web channel, other online distribution channels to improve market share, drive revenue performance, create awareness and engagement to achieve optimal profitability for our portfolio of boutique hotels.

Shift requirements:

Primarily morning shifts from 9 am to 6 pm Monday through Friday.  Some evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts as needed due to high-demand periods and seasonality.   The ideal candidate is willing to work overtime to meet the needs of our guests and our business. 

Responsibilities

  • Preferred previous experience in ecommerce marketing and should include knowledge in search engine marketing, blogging, and social media sites
  • Contributes to the online booking experience by analyzing, reviewing, recommending, and implementing digital strategies and tactics including hotel website optimization for conversion, SEO, SEM, local listing and search optimization, third-party website optimization and maintain brand standards by monitoring property level digital marketing efforts such as social media and various forms of online advertising
  • On-going review and analysis of brand and property websites for areas that need to be enhanced, revised or updated for user ease
  • On-going knowledge of website trends in optimization, website architecture and best practices
  • Ensure the accuracy and clarity of every hotel’s website, including proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling, as well as merchandising and package promotion
  • Work with key partners to optimize on-site content for maximum visibility and ranking in the major search engines
  • Assist in development, collaboration and building and sending of brand marketing, transient, business travel, Loyalty Member, and group e-marketing campaigns to drive awareness to help fill need periods and generate leads
  • Support the development and execution of digital advertising campaigns across various channels, including brand marketing, business travel, loyalty programs, and group promotions. Collaborate on building and deploying targeted campaigns to boost visibility, address key need periods, and generate qualified leads
  • Assist in the development and coordination of print advertising campaigns for Brand Marketing, including collaboration with Brand team on the design and executing impactful print ads that enhance brand visibility, reinforce brand identity, and drive awareness within target markets
  • Support property and Brand initiatives to grow and maintain social media audiences through engagement, relevant postings, and boost posting strategies
  • Complete relevant reporting on e-Commerce, Branding and Loyalty efforts, including monthly or quarterly reporting
  • Attend Brand, ECommerce and Loyalty Member calls and meetings as needed
  • Participate in Branding, PR, marketing and revenue calls or meetings as needed 
  • Support brand marketing, transient leisure, business travel, Loyalty Member, group, weddings, and catering through Search Engine Optimization, E-marketing & Paid advertising campaigns
  • Identify and implement innovative SEO strategies to improve search engine ranking
  • Review and analysis of SEO keyword traffic and placement by Key Website Partner including headlines, tags and effective call-to-action
  • Develop with Key Website Partner inbound link development from relevant sites and directories
  • Local Search Optimization & Marketing, ensure that all hotels’ listings are optimized, visible, accurate, up-to-date and appealing to channel users through monthly and quarterly audits
  • Perform regular search audits to gauge each hotel’s visibility on major search engines
  • Advise on SEM spends, ensuring campaigns are funded and identifying opportunities in acquisition and retention campaigns
  • Support development/new build of hotels by establishing & posting on the property Social Media pages, i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, Linkedin, etc. 
  • Develop targeted campaign strategies through collection of data from all distribution points: Branded Web, OTA, Social, Display, etc. 
  • Proficient in Loyalty benefits and tiers
  • Work closely with vendors and in-house employees to ensure ecommerce marketing is maximized
  • Maintain integrity of cost controls and proper maintenance of assets
  • Constantly reviewing online strategies to grow revenue and reach for all properties managed by Valencia Hotel Group
  • Responsible for keeping up with current trends and applying those to the property’s website accordingly.
  • Manage the web analytics platform (Adobe & Milestone) in order to analyze website performance and trends across the property websites
  • Responsible for assisting in driving the website revenues and performance of the website
  • Must be able to execute ideas and measure Return on Investment
  • Work with Corp Director of Revenue and Director of Sales at each property to effectively manage the websites to include keeping the content current
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of daily operating results and statistical information as related to revenue      and expenses
  • Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor 
  • Ability to travel when require
  • Ability to work overtime when required

Qualifications:

  • 2 – 4 years related experience preferred
  • First-hand experience in internet marketing, and email marketing is preferred
  • Knowledge of SHR/Windsurfer/Maverick CRM a plus
  • Creative thinking to develop web direct marketing initiatives
  • Detail oriented with the ability to see the big picture
  • Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as a team member
  • Strong analytical and communication skills 
  • Knowledge and understanding of search engine optimization & rankings
  • Knowledge of online marketing strategies including social media, Meta Search and Google My Business
  • Knowledge of website keyword selection and analysis
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Google Analytics, AdWords and Sprout Social experience a plus 
  • HTML coding/Mautic coding experience a plus
  • Canva Creative Suite experience a plus
  • Conversational AI platform experience a plus
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop or Illustrator) experience a plus 
  • Ability to analyze the content and functionality of websites
  • Ability to create and edit content
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, results driven environment
  • Must possess strong time-management skills
  • Must possess skills to multi-task, prioritize, meet deadlines and handle multiple projects and tasks
