Demonstrate a proactive approach to managing large deliveries to the storeroom
Maintains delivery and inventory records as prescribed.
Obtain and maintain a valid Serve Safe certification and manage the standards of the Serve Safe criteria.
Ensure all their employees obtain and maintain food handler’s certification from the Health Department.
Supervise monthly detailed cleaning of storeroom and walk-ins; Ensure Lodge sanitation throughout property including kitchen, dining rooms, locker rooms and outdoor public areas such as garden dining area, gardens, walkways, etc.
Keep the loading dock clean and orderly.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. 6 months to 1 year storeroom or warehouse supervisory experience Demonstrated (1) knowledge of computers; (2) knowledge of food storage and rotation procedures; (3) delivery and inventory recordkeeping experience; (4) ability to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines Must possess a valid Commonwealth of Virginia driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record as measured against Colonial Williamsburg’s criteria Ability to read requisitions and write order requests; (2) work a varying schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays; (3) maintain standards listed below STANDARDS: Maintain a positive, enthusiastic outlook; smile and greet guests, employees, managers, and supervisors; show respect for and cooperate at all times with those for whom and with whom you work; report to work as scheduled and on time; meet appearance standards; perform assigned tasks accurately and on time. Physical requirements include but are not limited to: (1) transporting 50 pounds; (2) lifting up to 75 pounds of goods into storage bins or onto shelves; (3) working while standing for long periods of time. Final candidates are to present in person to the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation Employment Office a valid driver’s license and an original Motor Vehicle Record transcript (MVR). The MVR is to be no older than 30 days, issued by the same state as the driver’s license, and must cover the past seven years. New residents must obtain a Virginia driver’s license by date of hire. |
