Graduate New Haven
A Storied Stay In The Heart Of New Haven
Rekindle the spirit of your alma mater at the smartest place to stay in New Haven. A local landmark, Graduate New Haven sits in the heart of downtown, making it a perfect spot to host your next event or business trip. The city’s best art galleries, shops, restaurants and theaters are right outside our front door, and Yale’s campus is just a few blocks away.
Originally the Hotel Duncan, our character-laden lodgings are steeped in history. To celebrate the building’s storied past, we looked to its founding in 1894. A blue and white palette in of-the-era patterns decorates guestrooms and public spaces. Nods to campus icons, including Handsome Dan and Mory’s Cups, mix with antique art and furniture for an authentic bygone Ivy feel.
In the lobby, Poindexter serves locally made pastries and other a.m. favorites. Pair with a tasty cortado or cold brew for an A+ start to your day. Or grab a local brew and a sausage at the new Old Heidelberg.
So whether you’re in town rallying for a Bulldogs win, exploring the Chapel Street historic district or visiting New Haven’s museums and art galleries, we’re here to make your stay memorable. Our warm, friendly and whip-smart staff will guide you around New Haven, so that you feel like a local even if it’s your first time in town.
