Lead Bartender

Reports To: Lounge Manager, Assistant GM, Dir of F&B, Restaurant Manager

Supervises

Job Purpose: To anticipate and attend   to all needs of guests related to their Beverage/dining experience, following standard recipes, promote   food sales, and assist in training.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Mix ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
• Create specialty cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks.
• Serve wine draught, bottled beer, non-alcoholic beverages and food.
• Place bottled goods and glasses to make an attractive display.
• Wash glasses, bar, and equipment.
• Collect money for drinks served.
• Ensure bar is fully stock and replenish glasses, beverages, mixes, fruit, and guest supplies.
• Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks; prepare appetizers, such as pickles, cheese and cold meats.
• Take responsibility for assigned associates in the absence of the Supervisor.
• Assign work and ensure proper performance of assigned associates.
• Assist in training new team members during their onboarding interim.
• Assist leadership with weekly beverage orders.
• Assist leadership with monthly inventory.
• Take the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
• Complete nightly check outs as prescribed and aligned with closing procedures.
• Lead pre-service meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Skills:

• Use arithmetic to total costs and make change.
• Communicate with different kinds of people to find out what services they want and to give them information.
• Stand or walk for varying lengths of time, sometimes for long periods.
• Move fingers and hands easily and quickly to handle dishes, money, merchandise, etc. 
• Lift and carry heavy items, such as trays.

Education

• HS Diploma or equivalent.

Experience

• Previous bartending experience preferred. 

Licenses/Certifications

• Must have TIPS certification and meet state law age requirements for tending bar.
