As our Barback, you will assist bars with stocking, monitor trash, fill ice, other general cleaning duties. To succeed in this position, you should have an engaging and friendly personality, be efficient, observant, and knowledgeable.

This position is for the 2025 season, start dates range during Month of May, Memorial Day weekend through the summer availability required. 

This position may require flexible scheduling availability

Job Requirements:

• Be readily available and approachable for all guests while always extending professionalism
• Know local health and safety codes and regulations that apply to the property
• Ensure the bar service space remains well-stocked at all times
• Cleaning and sanitizing table, countertops, and floors after each service
• Empty garbage areas throughout restaurant

Job Qualifications:

• Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement
• Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
• Ability to work well in stressful situations
• Readily available and approachable for all guests while providing excellent guest service

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors. Island Hospitality is unable to guarantee a specific number of work hours per week.
