Multi Lakes Conservation Association is an organization serving over 800 members. Our mission is to create a welcoming and vibrant community for those passionate about conservation and the outdoors. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Controller to join our team, working closely with the General Manager to ensure smooth financial operations.

The Role:

As the Controller, you’ll play a crucial role in managing the club’s day-to-day financial operations. This position is ideal for someone with years of financial management experience who’s looking for a rewarding role in a community-focused environment. Reporting directly to the GM, you’ll oversee key financial operations, including daily revenue reports, payroll management, accounts payable, and month-end reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Controller, you’ll ensure our financial systems run smoothly, supporting the General Manager and broader team. Your role will cover:

Daily Reporting:

You’ll oversee daily revenue reports, resolve discrepancies, and ensure adjustments are recorded in the general ledger. Your accurate reporting will keep the team informed and confident in our financial standing.

Payroll Management:

Handle payroll processes, from approving time cards to ensuring tips are paid and discrepancies resolved. Your work ensures our staff receives accurate, timely paychecks.

Accounts Payable:

Manage invoices and weekly check runs, ensuring vendors are paid promptly and discrepancies are resolved.

Cash Management:

Reconcile bank statements, investigate ACH transactions, and manage outstanding checks to maintain a healthy cash flow.

Accounts Receivable:

Oversee accounts receivable, ensuring accurate reporting, following up on outstanding balances, and managing house accounts.

Month-End Duties:

Reconcile prepaid assets, inventory, and bank accounts at the close of each month, ensuring accurate financial records.

About You:

We’re seeking someone detail-oriented and organized, with a wealth of accounting or finance experience. You’re comfortable with payroll systems, reconciliations, and enjoy solving discrepancies. If you thrive in a hands-on, collaborative role, this is a great fit.
