We're hiring a Full-Time Director of Golf for Lakewood National Golf Club in Lakewood Ranch, FL – High Quality High Volume Environment

Ideal candidates have a genuine passion for golf management and leadership. As Director of Golf, you will be responsible for directing and administering all aspects of operation and the property’s policies and procedures. This includes working to develop and implement all activities that support and deliver an exceptional guest experience. Previous supervisory experience is a requirement for the position.

Ideal candidates have flexible schedules with availability to work weekends and holidays, as needed. This includes competitive compensation starting at 145K per year plus bonus.

Responsibilities

• Delivers outstanding and consistent levels of service to guests
• Hires, develop, and manage all golf and operations staff
• Works closely with the client to ensure club standards are met
• Develops, promotes, and directs all golf activities
• Actively works to grow outing rounds/revenue at the facility through outside sales and retention
• Responsible for the execution of golf outings and leagues
• Supervises daily, weekly, and monthly physical inventories of merchandise and the display of this merchandise
• Oversees the care and maintenance of the property’s physical assets and facilities
• Assists in the creation and coordination of the property’s marketing strategy in conjunction with the designated TROON Marketing and Sales Directors
• Monitors the daily operations and analyze the daily sales reports, weekly and monthly forecasts of the golf shop, and food and beverage outlets
• Responsible for attaining sales goals for all card programs, annual passes, facility events, etc.
• Adheres to all federal, state, and local laws regarding health, safety and employment
• Ensures the highest standards for food, beverage, sports, recreation activities and other property services
• Analyzes financial statements (income and expenses) relative to budgeted goals and take corrective measures as necessary
• Works with department heads (where applicable) to schedule, supervise and direct the work of all property employees
• Monitors, posts, and engages followers via social medias channels
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager

Education and Experience Requirements

• Golf operations experience required
• PGA Member in good standing preferred
• Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Understanding of course administration and operation practices and procedures
• Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills
• Must be highly organized and efficient with a high attention to detail
• Must have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Must possess the ability to coordinate projects and delegate responsibility
• Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems
• General knowledge of social media channels
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships

Working Conditions

• Physical activity including long periods (6-8 hours) of standing, walking, bending, and scooping
• Regularly to reach with arms and hands
• Occasionally will be required to lift up to 30lbs.
• Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, and depth perception
• Work extended hours during golf and holiday season
• Work weekends and holidays
