We are committed to providing exceptional guest experiences and are looking for a dynamic General Manager to lead our team. Our ideal candidate has a proven track record in hotel management, preferably with experience at a Holiday Inn Express or within the IHG brand family.

Job Summary: The General Manager will oversee all aspects of our hotel operations, ensuring the highest standards of customer service, cleanliness, and profitability. This role involves strategic planning, team leadership, financial oversight, and maintaining strong relationships with guests, staff, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management:
    • Oversee daily hotel operations, ensuring the highest standards of service and guest satisfaction while exceeding brand standards
    • Maintain brand compliance by passing all required training and inspections, meeting or exceeding brand standards
    • Implement and maintain operational policies and procedures and assure preventative maintenance programs in place for facility and equipment
    • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and legal requirements.
    • Establish a communication log and have open communication with all depts and follow ups
    • Weekly/Monthly inventories to upper mgmt.
  • Financial Management:
    • Develop, manage, and meet the hotel’s budget, including forecasting and cost control.
    • Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure STR performance
    • Maximize revenue through strategic pricing, inventory management, and cost-saving initiatives to maintain a positive RevPAR Index
  • Team Leadership:
    • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team.
    • Foster a positive and productive work environment.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback and coaching.
    • Lead by example, hold staff accountable, and regularly engage in team meetings and individual check-ins
  • Guest Relations:
    • Ensure exceptional guest experiences by maintaining high standards of customer service.
    • Address and resolve guest complaints and issues promptly and effectively.
    • Maintain a visible presence in the hotel to interact with guests and staff.
  • Marketing and Sales:
    • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the hotel.
    • Build and maintain relationships with local businesses and organizations.
    • Drive sales efforts to increase occupancy and revenue.
    • Engage in community involvement by joining local organizations such as CVB or the Chamber of Commerce
  • Quality Control:
    • Ensure the hotel is consistently clean, well-maintained, and welcoming.
    • Conduct regular inspections and implement corrective actions.
    • Maintain high standards of appearance and functionality across all areas of the hotel.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or higher preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in hotel management
  • Brand experience with Holiday Inn Express or another IHG brand.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Financial acumen and experience managing budgets.

Physical Demands: This role requires standing, walking, and frequent use of hands. Due to the hospitality industry's nature, work schedules may vary, including holidays and weekends. Attendance at all training and meetings is mandatory.
