What you will be doing

Ascent Hospitality is seeking a uniquely qualified hospitality leader to join our team as the Assistant General Manager at the Home2 in Hammond, IN. In this vital role, you will act as a key liaison for hotel guests and serve as the right hand to the General Manager while supporting Front Office operations and other departments such as Housekeeping, Laundry, and Engineering. Your focus will be on maximizing the hotel’s efficiency and profitability, fostering a positive work environment, and delivering exceptional guest service.

As the Assistant General Manager, you will monitor and evaluate daily operations, collaborate with the General Manager to create a supportive culture, and serve as a resource for front-line staff. Your responsibilities will include conducting daily walk-throughs, planning operational activities based on business volume, managing supplies and inventory, and responding to guest inquiries and complaints. With experience in hotel operations and leadership experience preferred, you will bring exceptional service orientation, proactive problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills to the team.
