Key Responsibilities Of The Greenskeeper
- Performs general landscape maintenance using hand held equipment
- Rakes and maintains sand bunkers.
- Operates small machinery to assist with edging, trimming and mowing.
- Prepares soil beds for sod, seed and vegetative material.
- Involved with tasks related to course detail (weed and debris clean up).
- Assists with golf course set-up procedures.
- Operates utility vehicles for hauling material and removing debris.
- Performs skilled duties related to experience (pruning, plugging, etc.).
- Operates equipment safely and is aware of associates and their prospective work areas.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications For The Greenskeeper I
- One month related experience or training.
- Must have a valid driver's license.

Pay Range $15 - $17 an hour DOE
Rackham Golf Course
The Rackham Golf Course is a public golf course designed by Donald Ross, located in Huntington Woods, Michigan and adjacent to the Detroit Zoo. The grounds crew at Rackham maintains one 18-hole course. Rackham provides a challenging golf course for golfers of any level. The Par 71 layout features well manicured fairways and undulating greens. The greens are protected by numerous bunkers which were renovated in 2007. Distance from the back tees is 6,555 yards. Middle tees are 6,253 yards. Forward tees are 5,413 yards. There is a chipping and putting green available for use before your round.
