The Golf Course Equipment Operator is a key member of the course maintenance team and is responsible for the care and maintenance of golf course.

Qualifications, Knowledge And Skill Requirements
- Golf course maintenance experience preferred, but not required
- Must possess the ability design, coordinate, and maintain landscaping on the golf course
- Working knowledge of the tools, methods and materials used in grounds and landscaped area construction and maintenance work
- Must possess the ability to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course operations
- Ability to give oral and written instructions
- Skilled in seeding, fertilizing, mulching, and general ground preparation for restoration and renovation
- Must be dependable
Responsibilities
- Operates motorized vehicles
- Maintains clean and organized works areas on the golf course and maintenance facility
- Mows greens, aprons, fairways, roughs, tees, and other areas
- Waters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water
- Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as needed
- Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways
- Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds
- Applies pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers to the golf course
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
