Beechmont Country Club is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Food & Beverage. The ideal candidate must possess strong leadership experience, an extensive and verifiable record of success in F & B operations and a demonstrated ability to deliver 5-star dining experience in a premier golf and country club setting. The successful candidate will take the lead role in creating a strategic and operational F&B plan that will elevate the overall member and guest experience and mentor employees to achieve their best.

Beechmont Country Club seeks to attract a verifiable high-performing, achievement-oriented, and collaborative new Director of Food & Beverage who will view this as an exceptional opportunity to, essentially, rebuild an F & B program to excel at the highest level. The Director of Food & Beverage position has responsibility for all day-to-day dining operations, including the Main Dining Rooms, 19th Hole, Pool Snack Bar, Club events as well as the halfway house for the golf course.
Key to the new Director’s success is an intuitive sense of being "present" and sincerely engaging with every generation of members and their guests while having a knack for building relationships with both the team and the membership at Beechmont Country Club. The ability to build trust across all areas of clubhouse operations is essential.
The Director will be responsible for the creation, implementation, and consistent execution of all service standards and processes while providing vibrant, innovative, relevant, and respectful leadership to key management and staff. A primary objective is for the Director to be highly visible and interactive.
Being a natural mentor to the team is critically important, as is being a strong advocate for the team’s success. The Director must be a proactive and assertive leader in the process of strategic planning, talent acquisition and retention, and membership activities/services programming, ensuring that each of these areas of focus considers current and future membership input and demographics. Additionally, s/he must expect to work to exceed members' expectations and recognize trends, evolving demographics, and what will help drive the Club in the future. The new Director should have a history of “turnaround” success and of recognizing, respecting, and supporting the contributions of key managers and staff.
The Director of Food & Beverage duties encompass budget planning, cost controls, hiring, training, development, scheduling, and supervision of staff. They actively oversee the program and collaborate on menu development and pricing strategies with the Director of Culinary Operations as well as on service training with the Director of F & B Service. They also manage financial aspects, maintain the Jonas POS system, conduct inventories, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Promotes and nurtures member relations and enhances the quality of all food and beverage experiences.
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university, preferably in a hospitality or culinary program; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
The Director of Food & Beverage Reports to the General Manager/COO
Direct reports include Director of Culinary, Director of F & B Service, Director of Events, F&B Outlet Managers, and Beverage Manager with responsibility over the entire F&B department service team.
Regularly stand, walk, and sit. Occasionally climbs or balances; stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches. Frequently uses hands; reaches with hands and arms. Frequently talks or hears, tastes or smells. Occasionally lifts up to fifty pounds.
