Sales Coordinator

Ed Oliver Golf Club is excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity of Sales Coordinator!

This Banquet Sales Coordinator position requires a flexible schedule and the ability to work weekend and evening hours, based on the business needs. Previous sales, food and beverage or banquet experience preferred. Compensation is hourly plus commissions.

Essential Duties

• Provides sincere, timely and courteous service to all clients
• Conducts facility tours
• Acts as a trusted advisor for clients and guides them in making choices that will make their vision a reality
• Regularly checks and responds to emails and voicemails
• Develops and delivers client proposals and contracts
• Maintains all client contacts and sales activities in the CRM
• Books banquets including weddings, birthday parties, celebrations of life, anniversaries, business functions, etc.
• Writes event BEOs and conveys all detailed event information to the chef, food and beverage director and banquet captain
• Services existing accounts and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing a daily work schedule to call on existing or potential clients
• Processes all banquet related transactions through the POS
• Leads the banquet execution team in delivering an exceptional experience
• Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, reviews and facilities
• Assists in reviewing and updating banquet menus on a periodic basis
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Education/Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Physical Demands

Frequently stands, walks, uses hands, talks or hears. Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches. Regularly lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.

Environment/Noise

The noise level is average.

Certificates/Licenses

Food Handlers Card/Certification is preferred

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences

• Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English)
• Meets state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages
• Proficient in typing, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
