Overview:

The Director of Sales and Marketing is responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to drive revenue growth, focusing on reservations, corporate events, and bookings. This role involves managing the reservations office and creating strategies for proven success.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to achieve revenue targets, emphasizing corporate events and bookings.

• Oversee the reservations office, ensuring efficient operations and high customer satisfaction.

• Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through networking, prospecting, and relationship-building.

• Conduct property tours and presentations to prospective clients, promoting the hotel’s facilities and services.

• Develop customized proposals and contracts for corporate clients, ensuring their needs are met.

• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure seamless execution of events and meetings.

• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adjust strategies accordingly.

• Prepare and present detailed sales and marketing reports to senior management.

• Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and community activities to enhance the brand’s visibility.

• Foster a positive environment, encouraging collaboration and professional development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the hospitality industry.

• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.

• Strong understanding of sales and marketing principles and best practices.

• Ability to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.

Competitive Pay Structure for Director of Sales and Marketing

Revenue Growth Targets:

• Revenue Increase: 10-20% year-over-year increase in total revenue.

• New Corporate Accounts: Acquisition of a specific number of new corporate accounts.

• Event and Booking Growth: 15-25% increase in corporate event bookings.

• ADR and Occupancy: Improve Average Daily Rate (ADR) and occupancy rates by 5-10%.

Performance Incentives: 

• Commission on Corporate Events and Bookings: 5% - 10% of revenue generated from corporate events and bookings.

• Commission on New Corporate Accounts: $500 - $1,000 per new account signed based on gross revenue and profitability.

• Annual Performance Bonus: Up to 20% of base salary based on achieving revenue growth targets.

Total Compensation Potential:

• Base Salary + Commissions + Bonuses can bring total annual earnings to the range of $80,000 - $120,000 based on performance.

Compensation: Base Pay: $40,000-$60,000 depending on experience and qualifications. Plus Commission
