Greenskeeper/Equipment Operators, Seasonal with flexible scheduling (full or part time).

We're hiring Greenskeepers and Equipment Operators for Bookcliff Country Club in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Ideal candidates are team players and have a willingness to learn. Seasonal employees will be asked to participate in the manicuring and setup of the golf course, as well as assist with projects and applications as needed. Some of the duties will include be not be limited to:

• The mowing of greens, tees, approaches, fairways and roughs
• Operation and usage of small handheld equipment such as blowers, string trimmers, chainsaws, and push mowers.
• The use of manual hand tools such as rakes, shovels, pruning equipment, fertilizer spreaders, and hand sprayers.

Ideal candidates have flexible schedules with the ability to work weekends and holidays as needed. This includes competitive compensation starting at $15.00/hr but willing to compensate according to experience. Most of all, we want our team members to have fun and feel included and respected.

• Operates golf course equipment as instructed in a safe and respectful manner.
• Reports golf course conditions to the golf course superintendent or assistant golf course superintendent.
• Waters greens, tees and fairways.
• Repairs greens with seeds or plugs of new grass when needed.
• Assist in the repair of greens, tees, and fairways.
• May be asked to change pins and tee markers and assist with other presentation duties.
• Ensures a safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to operate trucks and light motorized equipment.
• Ability to work carefully and ensure co-workers are working in safety.
• Must have willingness to learn.
• Must be driven and possess strong work ethic.
• Must be dependable.
• Ability to understand and follow oral instructions.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms.
• The employee is often required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls.
• They will occasionally be required to balance, stoop, twist upper body, kneel, and climb.
• The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, and depth perception.
• Moderate exposure to extreme cold, heat, working outdoors, chemicals, pesticides, gasoline, vibration, pollen, dust, mechanical hazards, and electrical hazards.
• Noise level is typically moderate to loud.
• Work extended hours during golf and holiday season.
• Work weekends and holidays.
