Director of Sales Duties
- Drive Sales/Revenue and profitability while providing guidance and support to the hotel team
- Strong leadership and professional image
- Excellent decision-making ability and analytical skills
- Motivate, coach, develop the Sales Team to achieve/exceed goals
- Develop and execute quarterly sales and marketing plans to grow share
- Utilize industry tools to perform competitive set assessments and identify key targets
- Solicit and negotiate business with new clients and grow share within existing accounts through daily prospecting
- Creating and executing our annual computerized Sales & Marketing Plan
- Outside sales calls, e-communications, referrals and networking
- Implement approved distribution strategies and manage multiple channel selling strategies
- Responsible for promoting the hotel on various social media outlets
- Participate in networking and local organizations
- Work with General Manager, Regional Director of Operations and Corporate Revenue Manager to ensure pricing and revenue strategies are aligned with market to maximize revenue
Education And Experience
- Experience as a Director of Sales with Marriott or Hilton preferred
- Knowledge of local competition and industry trends
- Strong leadership and professional image
- Excellent decision-making ability and analytical skills
- Be able to multi-task various job duties daily
- Preparing reports that delve into the operation of our sales department
- Must have excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Researching and analyzing industry trends to develop new marketing strategies
