Job SummaryProvide/ host (Tennis, Pickleball, and Bocce) clinics, activities, events, exhibitions, tournaments, court reservations, and instructional lessons to Members of the community.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesDuties and ResponsibilitiesDaily Operations/ Scope of Position
- Ensure that all Members and their guests receive courteous, prompt, and professional attention.
- Enforce club policies and procedures both on and off the court.
- Be visibly present on the Resort Campus and courts during peak periods of play.
- Maximize court usage by encouraging play and arranging games among Members.
- Handle all member inquiries about court/lesson fees and sales.
Other Common Responsibilities
- Assist Members in using the online booking system.
- Attend and participate in monthly Sports Programming Social Club meetings for specific events.
- Maintain an up-to-date calendar of events for the current and upcoming seasons (minimum of rolling 30 days).
- Ensure that all tournaments, exhibitions, and in-house club events are consistently organized, administered, and officiated.
- Current knowledge of the state of the games and coaching techniques.
- Coordinate with the leadership team to ensure all aspects (food & beverage, set-up, etc.) are correctly coordinated with games/events.
- Complete and submit vendor check requests to the community association manager.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Demonstrate knowledge and excellence in sports programming by playing Tennis and/or Pickleball.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with Members in an appropriate tone and manner both verbally and written.
- Possess a high level of energy, initiative, enthusiasm, and cooperation, and exercise good judgment and discretion.
- Must have the ability to perform moderate physical work and may be required to lift up to 50 lbs., up to 30 lbs. frequently, and up to 20 lbs. constantly.
- Perform activities such as bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, lifting, and grasping for up to 5 hours without sitting.
Educational and Experience Requirements
- Professional certification from the USPTA and/or IPTPA or PPA.
- CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
- High School diploma or equivalent; 1-2 years experience and/or the equivalent in experience and training in a private, member-owned club/space.
Preferred Requirements
- Previous experience as a Teaching Professional for Tennis and/or Pickleball.
- Professional and/or collegiate playing experience.
- College Education - Bachelor’s degree.
Working Conditions- Works indoors and outdoors. Potential exposure to sharp and rapid equipment movement, sharp utensils, harmful chemicals, and or solvents if proper safety procedures are not followed.
