Austin Country Club, renowned for its commitment to excellence and a vibrant member experience, is seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is ideal for a creative, efficient, and dedicated individual who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and has a genuine passion for culinary arts.

Pay Range: $12 - $14 / hour

Key Responsibilities

Preparation and Cooking: Efficiently prepare high-quality dishes according to club recipes and standards. This includes various cooking methods such as grilling, frying, sautéing, and baking.

Kitchen Operations: Assist in all aspects of kitchen operations, including setting up and stocking stations with necessary supplies, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and ensuring proper food handling and sanitation standards.

Menu Collaboration: Work closely with the culinary team to develop and execute menu items that align with the club's standards and members' preferences.

Quality Control: Ensure that every dish served meets the highest quality standards in terms of taste, presentation, and temperature.

Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste.

Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with the kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and an exceptional dining experience for members and guests.

Continuous Learning: Stay current with culinary trends and techniques and actively participate in training sessions and team meetings.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a high-volume, upscale dining establishment.

Proficiency in various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.

Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.

Ability to work efficiently under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
