We're hiring a Food & Beverage Assistant Manager for Glenview Golf Course in Cincinnati, OH.

Ideal candidates are highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented with at least 1-2 years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have flexible schedules with availability to work weekends and holidays, as needed. This includes competitive compensation starting at $12/hour + gratuities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the daily management of the food and beverage department for a la cart sales and banquet events.
• Handles the production and service of food and beverage products as necessary
• Handles all cash and/or credit cards for payment following all standard operating procedures
• Provide prompt and efficient customer service
• Always maintain a professional appearance
• Maintains the cleanliness of production and service equipment
• Keeps production and service areas clean and orderly
• Manages orders for all food and beverage inventory
• Provides adequate display of garnishes and condiments on “self-serve” basis
• Performs clean-up and closing procedures
• Complies with applicable health, alcoholic beverage, fire and other local/state laws
• Perform daily walk-throughs to ensure full compliance with the Department of Health regulations
• Ensures that high standards of sanitation and cleanliness are always maintained throughout the food & beverage areas
• Direct and assist with set-up, preparation and execution of golf outings, banquets, parties, and special events
• Manages in conjunction with the F&B Director all hiring, supervising, scheduling, of snack bar attendants and beverage cart attendants
• Provide daily oversight of F&B accounting procedures
• Maintain cost controls and conduct monthly inventory
• Follow the buying process for food and beverage ordering
• Train front line staff on quality assurance and appropriate guest service
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager

Education and Experience Requirements

• Must have 1-2 years of experience
• Must have strong sales orientation
• Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook
• Knowledge of pertinent health regulations and liquor laws
• Must have food and beverage/ a la carte experience
• Must have strong business aptitude
• Must have strong service orientation
• Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented
• Must have exceptional interpersonal skills

Working Conditions

• Physical activity including long periods (6-8 hours) of standing, walking, bending, and scooping
• The employee will be required regularly to reach with arms and hands
• The employee occasionally will be required to lift up to 50lbs.
• Use of sight, reading, wrist movement to serve food and beverages, operate food service equipment and clean food service areas
• Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, and depth perception
• Noise level is typically moderate
• Work extended hours during golf season
• Work weekends and holidays
