Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Associate Director - HCM Implementation to assist our implementation team for Dayforce, our new Human Capital Management (HCM) and payroll system and assist the Payroll/HRIS with supervision, training and day-to-day operations. As the Associate Director, you will assist the implementation, payroll and HRIS teams in training for the implementation of the Dayforce system within our organization. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration and rollout of Dayforce with the goal of enhancing operational efficiency, financial transparency, associate readiness and workforce management.

Responsibilities

  • Assist HCM implementation team as needed in the delivery of an end-to-end HCM project
  • Participate in discovery, design, configuration, testing, cutover, communications, and training initiatives related to the HCM project
  • Assist in effective change management initiatives as needed
  • Research and resolve associate service requests received by ticketing system related to HRIS technology.
  • Build complex reports in UltiPro/Kronos/UKG using IBM Cognos and eventually Dayforce
  • Configure HRIS technology (UltiPro/Kronos – UKG & Dayforce) to comply with relevant federal, state, and county rules and regulations
  • Keep informed on current trends, developments, and best practices related to HRIS technology configuration and processes
  • Create job aids, guides, and documentation relevant to HRIS/payroll technology processes
  • Analyze and evaluate work methods, design and implement ‘best practices’ for HRIS & Payroll systems to effectively utilize technology to best enable the organization.
  • Handle any system upgrades, releases, or enhancements. Support the transition from UKG to Dayforce.
  • Monitor system performance to identify organizational needs and determine appropriate solutions.
  • Work with Payroll, HRIS, Benefits, and Talent Acquisition departments to always ensure cross-functional alignment.
  • Develop and maintain interfaces, file feeds, imports, and exports for all systems.
  • Liaison between Payroll, HR, IT, Finance, and Corporate Accounting regarding any system issues.
  • Provide required and ongoing training to field operation associates on system changes and best practices as needed.
  • Advanced skills in payroll computer systems, including payroll software, time and attendance systems, and applicant tracking system technology.
  • Statistical and forecasting methods used in payroll analysis and management.
  • Strong configuration and integration knowledge with Dayforce, UKG and Kronos Workforce Central Version 7 and up.
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate work methods, design and implement ‘best practice’ payroll systems and procedures.
  • Ability to train others in specialized payroll practices and procedures.
  • Responsible for the configuration HRIS technology (UltiPro/Kronos – UKG & Dayforce) to comply with relevant federal, state, and county rules and regulations.
  • Maintain and update PTO plans and verify accuracy of calculations.
  • Assist properties by providing payroll and human resources partner information as well as training.
  • Resolution of accounting/general ledger discrepancies with payroll transactions.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant HCM experience
  • 2 years of experience implementing HCM projects and workstreams in a complex environment that includes multi-state/multinational union and nonunion environments
  • Experience with implementing at least 3 end-to-end HCM implementation project
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Payroll Operations and Processing: 8-12 years of progressive experience.
  • Broad understanding of payroll operations, preferably in a multi-location company.
  • Knowledge and use of payroll best practices.
  • Experience with UltiPro and Dayforce is a strong plus.
  • Hospitality experience a plus.
  • Experience working with Compensation, HR, Benefits, Systems IT and third parties.
  • Experience in payroll data modeling, data analysis, enterprise reporting and trend interpretation.
