Primary Objective of Group Sales Coordinator Position

The primary objective of the Group Sales Coordinator is to assist in the organization and clerical duties of the Sales Office by functioning as the central contact for information specific to this department. Creating and maintaining group room blocks in PMS.

Group Sales Coordinator

Input group rooming lists using PMS, revise room blocks to maintain the required number of available rooms and keep organized files of all groups.
Update reservations including cancellations. rescheduling and shortening length of stay requests
Maintain group block inventory accurately and communicate changes and questions with revenue management, sales, and convention services.
Respond to any challenges found for accommodating rooming requests by communicating with appropriate individual or department
Attend all Pre-Planning and/or Pre-Conference Meetings with clients and Sales Managers.
Manage all VIP guestroom accommodations and amenities.
Create onsite marketing promotional materials and special event materials as needed.
Assist the Director or Sales with social media as needed
Provide back-up assistance to Front Desk/Other Departments on occasion

Qualifications

Customer Service experience required
Computer literate in MS Windows/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook applications
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
Hilton OnQ PMS, Rates & Inventory trained
Canva and Delphi FDC experience a plus

Physical Demands & Work Environment

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit/stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, as well as frequently lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds. The employee is rarely exposed to outside weather conditions and the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
