Job Overview:
The Director of Sales is responsible for strategically driving top-line revenue growth for Pine Barn Inn by soliciting new accounts, managing the Sales Department, and promoting the property. You will play a key role in achieving the hotel’s financial goals, boosting occupancy during slower periods, and implementing effective sales and marketing strategies. This position requires leadership, market insight, and a strong ability to communicate and collaborate with all departments to ensure the property’s success.
What You’ll Do:

Revenue Generation & Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve financial and occupancy targets. Identify new market segments and business opportunities that align with the hotel’s goals.

Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with key accounts, including corporations, agencies, associations, sports teams, and tour operators. Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and retention.

Sales Operations: Manage the Sales Department's daily operations to ensure compliance with all Shaner Hotels, franchise, and hotel policies. Oversee the completion of operational procedures within the department.

Promotional Programs: Create special packages, promotions, and advertising strategies to boost occupancy during low periods. Work with local media (newspapers, direct mail, billboards) to support these efforts.

Community Engagement: Represent the hotel at trade shows, chamber of commerce events, civic gatherings, and local organizations to enhance brand awareness and increase hotel sales.

Collaboration with Management: Communicate regularly with the General Manager, Department Managers, and staff to ensure alignment on sales goals, operational needs, and performance objectives.

Budget Management: Prepare and manage the annual Sales Department budget. Monitor sales performance, ensuring cost controls are adhered to and that revenue goals are met.

Team Leadership: Manage and motivate the Sales team to ensure productivity and foster a positive, high-performance work environment. Provide guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to staff.

Reporting & Performance: Regularly assess and report on sales metrics and account performance. Adjust strategies as needed to meet revenue targets and business objectives.
What We’re Looking For:
- Progressive experience in sales leadership, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Proven track record of generating revenue and successfully managing a sales department.
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests, management, and co-workers in a professional manner.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree in hospitality management, business, or a related field is preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of local market conditions and economy.
- In-depth understanding of hotel operations, with a focus on sales, marketing, and customer service.
- Familiarity with Sales and Marketing tools.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and BEOs (Banquet Event Orders).
- Exceptional organizational and budgeting skills, with the ability to implement cost controls and report effectively on financial performance.
- Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele
