The Associate Director of Events hires, trains, manages and coaches approximately three to ten catering/convention services managers. Primary responsibility is to service group business. This position reports to the Resort Director of Events. This person is assigned specific administrative responsibilities that should include supervisory duties over the Event department, including Event Sales and Planning Managers, Administrative Assistants and Trainees. This position will typically be required to carry and achieve a quota and service groups.

Requirements

A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
Refined verbal and written communication skills.
Must be proficient in general computer knowledge
3 years in Hotel Event Sales and/or Event Planning preferred
CMP Certified preferred
Resort Experience preferred
Has completed Hyatt Meeting Masters and/or Hyatt Sales Training preferred
Geographically mobile
