Provide high quality standards and procedures in preparing/serving all banquet food.

• Assist in preparation and production of all banquet hot and cold foods.
• Assist in preparation of employee meals and guest meals according to menu standards.
• Perform work assignments to meet proper quantities within a necessary time frame.
• Assist in the lowering of food cost and waste: label, date, and rotate product.
• Coordinate with Executive Chef, Banquet Chef & Sous Chef to ensure food quality and consistency.
• Maintain safe food handling procedures at all times.
• Maintain kitchen sanitation in accordance with health department guidelines.
• Ensure all food supplies necessary for service are in appropriate supply in a timely manner.
• Assist in producing food for other outlets upon request.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Valid San Diego County Food Handler’s certificate is required
• Minimum 2 years banquet culinary experience is required.
• Experience in a high volume upscale, hotel banquetoperation is preferred.
• Must be familiar with all cooking techniques, batch, and quantity cooking.
• Advanced knife skills are required.
• Must have the ability to multi-task.
• Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: $27.20/hour The pay scale provided is a range that Omni Hotels & Resorts reasonably expects to pay. Actual compensation offered may fluctuate based on a candidate’s qualifications and/or experience
