Sun Outdoors Myrtle Beach is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The Prep Cook will be responsible for preparing ingredients, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and assisting our Line Cooks in creating high-quality dishes. This role is essential in ensuring smooth kitchen operations and delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and portion ingredients including chopping vegetables, measuring ingredients, and marinating proteins.
• Assist in the preparation of appetizers, salads, and side dishes.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Stock and rotate ingredients to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
• Assist line cooks with basic cooking tasks as needed.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow all resort policies and kitchen protocols.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor or F+B Manager.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Previous experience as a prep cook or in a similar role preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
