Remuneración: $27.00 per hour
To maintain a system of purchase orders, receipts, invoices, and check requests in order to promptly and adequately support, document, and process for payment all hotel payables according to company standards & procedures.
1. Verify all invoices are supported by duly approved purchase orders when required, signed receiving documentation, and/or the approval of authorized management personnel.
2. Maintain alphabetical files by vendor containing complete invoices and backup attached to the checks for efficient access after payment. Keep all filing current.
3. Process all Accounts Payable invoices through the accounting system.
4. Calculate Use Tax on invoices as needed.
5. Check vendor statements as they are received and resolve all discrepancies with the vendor.
6. Prepare weekly check run by printing checks, matching with proper backup, and submitting to Director of Finance for review and approval.
7. Once checks are signed by authorized personnel, envelope and mail/distribute checks as appropriate.
8. Communicate frequently with vendors on payment issues or discrepancies and assist in resolving discrepancies as needed.
9. Run the required reports at month end to close the Accounts Payable cycle.
10. Perform general ledger account reconciliation, as requested.
11. Prepare journal entry for accrual of invoices received after closing and for goods and services received, but not yet invoiced.
12. Monitor Accounts Payable procedures and best-practices to ensure adherence to all applicable laws, established guidelines, and internal controls.
13. Complete General Cashier tasks such as but not limited to preparing bank deposits and monthly bank audits.
14. Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times to reflect the high standards of the Company.
15. Actively participates in safety programs and abides by all injury reporting and safety behavior requirements.
16. Participates in and supports hotels efforts towards community service, sustainability and environmental initiatives
17. Perform other duties as directed, developed or assigned
Required
1. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities and tasks.
2. Must have adequate experience in Accounts Payable processing and have an understanding of General Ledger accounting and how the A/P function has an impact on financial statements.
3. Must be able to meet strict deadlines in order to ensure that all A/P procedures are being met.
4. Must be a self-starter and possess the ability to handle projects and tasks with minimal supervision.
Desirable
1. Previous accounting experience in the hospitality industry is strongly desired.

1. Ability to work with computers and software and perform data entry in frequent duration.
2. Ability to perform basic and some intermediate functions of MS Excel .
3. Ability to effectively communicate in English with vendors and staff to their understanding
4. Knowledge of general accounting principles and procedures.
5. Proficiency in data entry and time-management skills.
6. Ability to organize and prioritize.
7. Ability to maintain attention to detail.
8. Ability to maintain confidentiality of our guests and clients.

1. Frequent or occasional need to perform the following physical activities: reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting, and climbing.

5. Lifting/carrying up to 10 lbs. frequently and 25 lbs. occasionally.
6. Vision requirements: constant need to view small print. Frequent need to see small details and things clearly beyond arms’ reach.
7. Hearing requirements: constant need to speak on the telephone and/or two-way radio, respond to general public and converse with staff. Ability to hear fire alarms and emergency equipment.
