Marcia VianCorporate Director of Human ResourcesMarcia Vian worked on property with The Dow Hotel Company starting in 2003 and joined the corporate staff as the Corporate Director of Human Resources in 2018. She is responsible for guiding practices and laws and developing strategies and procedures that help strengthen and grow the organization. Vian is adept at influencing cultural transformation and organizational change that achieves business results. Previously, she has held Director positions within Hilton Worldwide, under the Hilton and Doubletree Brands. Prior to hotels, she worked and consulted for other for-profit and non-profit businesses in director and other human resources related roles.
Vian holds a Master’s Degree in both Human Resources Development and Management; and is SPHR and SHRM-SCP certified.
Steve GriffinExecutive Vice President and Chief Financial OfficerWith more than 30 years of finance, accounting, real estate and corporate leadership experience, Steve Griffin focuses on effective risk management and cost control strategies for the Dow Hotel Company.
Griffin began his career with Arthur Anderson & Co as a senior accountant, then held the position of director of acquisitions for The Hillhaven Corporation. He also served as chief operating officer and chief financial officer of Olympic Property Management Company. He worked for Tully’s Coffee for seven years in various positions, including vice president of finance and chief financial officer. Prior to joining DHC in 2006, Griffin was the chief financial officer for WineBid.com.
A Seattle native, Griffin holds a B.A. in Business Administration Accounting from the University of Washington and is a Certified Public Accountant. He actively supports local hospitals and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, in addition to playing guitar in a rock and Motown band called "The Frustrations".
