W Hotels recently unveiled its latest W Sound Suite at the W Hotel in Hollywood, California. The Sound Suite offers a fully operational music studio and a writer’s room. Use of the hotel’s on-site music studio is available to musicians who want to record or work while on the road, but it is also available for regular hotel guests who might want a little taste of the rock star lifestyle during their stay.

The W Sound Suite in Hollywood is the third of its kind for the global hotel chain. The first debuted last year at the W Bali, followed by the W Seattle. A fourth sound suite is also scheduled to open soon at the W Barcelona.

W Hotels collaborated with Coca-Cola and DJ White Shadow, a North American music director best known for his work with Lada Gaga, to bring the Sound Suite concept to life and outfit the studios with the latest equipment in sound and music technology. Some of the features in the studio include a control keyboard, an all-in-one DJ system, professional-grade headphones and microphones, a Yamaha acoustic guitar, and a Fender Jaguar bass.

“W Sound Suites provide a creative escape for artists on the road,” said DJ White Shadow, North American Music Director, W Hotels Worldwide. “Recording while traveling is an essential part of being a working musician, and having access to a professional music studio while staying at W Hollywood is an incredible asset. So many talented artists come to Los Angeles and now we can be a part of their expressive experience.”
