1. Barbecue Butler: Because of its location in Greensboro, Georgia, the Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation is located right in the heart of the southern barbeque tradition. The Barbecue Butler (one of the Lodge’s chefs) assists guests in selecting their meats, sauces and smoking “woods” and then prepares the meal personally at the guest’s cottage. It’s not only a feast for the senses, but a cooking lesson and a very special memory. Their top request is steak paired with their ever-popular peach barbecue sauce.

2. Falconer: In Southern California, Montage Laguna Beach employs a falcon and other birds of prey to help control pest birds that are feeding and nesting on the property.  A licensed falconer trains falcons, owls, and hawks to chase away the problem birds that quickly learn they are not welcome but are not hurt in the process. Hotel Beekeeper:  At the Brown Palace Hotel in Denver, Colorado, and the Fairmont Royal York in Toronto, Ontario, the Hotel Beekeeper is busy establishing hives and maintaining the health of the bees on their rooftops.  In their effort to stem the decline of honeybees in North America, the beekeepers not only care for the hives but harvest the honey for the hotel’s special afternoon tea.

12. Sunglass Doctor:  At Four Seasons Resort in Lanai, Hawaii, your Sunglass Doctor is dedicated to maintaining your sunny accessory around the pool by repairing any dings, scratches, and broken temples as well as replacing nose pads. Polishing cloths at the ready, he also provides loaner shades if needed. He cleans about 80 pairs of sunglasses a day and lends out about 100 pairs a year.
